A Message from the Founding Directors and the Leadership Team:

The SEU-Leeds Joint Research Lab on Intelligent and Resilient Infrastructure (IRI) is a groundbreaking alliance between Southeast University and the University of Leeds. Forged through in-depth dialogues from 2021 to 2022, this partnership combines the expertise of the International Institute for Urban Systems Engineering at Southeast University and the School of Civil Engineering at the University of Leeds. In August 2022, the two institutions formally established the SEU-Leeds Joint Lab on Intelligent and Resilient Infrastructure, creating a global multi-university-industry hub.

This pioneering virtual research lab serves as a platform to facilitate collaboration among scholars in the critical, rapidly evolving field of intelligent and resilient infrastructure systems. This virtual research lab's primary goals are to:

• Generate fundamental and applied knowledge relevant to all facets of intelligent and resilient infrastructure research through global collaborations.

• Provide a forum where industry and academic experts can address multidisciplinary problems facing a wide range of sectors.

• Serve as a conduit for developing international research projects and programs, and disseminate findings that support the global need for more sustainable, resilient, and intelligent infrastructure.

In essence, IRI's vision is to become a premier global hub dedicated to advancing research, collaboration, and innovation in the field of intelligent and resilient infrastructure systems. We welcome you to join us on this journey.
